Miriallia burst out laughing. “No you don’t look like someone that is scared of heights. But you never know, looks can be deceiving.” She brought her hand up to cover her mouth, trying to stifle her laughter.
“The plastic horses do have a tendency to look a little frightening depending on how they are made and painted.” The brunette agreed. “I usually always start my trip to the park on the carousel. If you don’t like it though, I don’t mind skipping. I want to make sure you enjoy today.”
Looking out through the window of the car, she could have sworn her heart stopped for a moment seeing the height and different twists in the ride. Miri couldn’t let him know that she was nervous. The last thing she wanted was for Dearka to think that she too scared to go on it. Though after seeing it in person she may have a change of heart. The ride looked terrifying.
“I won’t change my mind.” Miriallia said stubbornly. She returned his teasingly smile with a confident one of her own. “/You/ won’t be changing your mind will you? I would hate to have to go on that ride alone.”
“I was joking about the carousels.” Dearka laughed as he pulled into the park’s parking lot and started looking for a spot to leave his vehicle. “Scary paintings or not, plastic horses won’t be getting the best of me anytime soon.”
The blonde winked at Miriallia, before his eyes went back to looking for a parking stall in an already crowded lot. Finding one, he eased his vehicle into it before turning the motor off. From where they were situated, the rides in the park looked even bigger than before- the sounds of screaming kids found their way into the vehicle as one of the cars for the roller coaster looped upside down. An excited gleam showed up in Dearka’s eyes and he grinned again at his date.
“Not a chance. We’re here together and that’s the way it’s going to stay on the rides.” He unbuckled himself, and made sure he had his wallet before getting out of the vehicle and waiting for Miriallia to do the same. “Besides, I want to know if you’re just as cute when you scream as when you blush.”
What if the entire SEED gang went lazer tagging? I say Yzak gets out first because his hair would glow in the dark.

Yeah. I started to hate it more and more the further I got into it. There were some cute moments with the couples which is how I got through the first and second installments but I skimmed over 90 per cent of the battles and scenes with OC’s and anything with Yzak and his Natural twins because that was just weird.
I stopped partway through the first one. You have to have a deft hand to make me not barf at romance of any type. I don’t mind writing romance but I’m a picky reader, and this one twisted my guts into knots for all the wrong reasons. I hated the Yzak romance in this one and Athrun was just all wrong even when he wasn’t being overly talkative- and un-Athrun-ly physical with Cagalli. I found the over-abundant libido on a guy who is off and on affectionate (he’s like, manic depressive in the romance department) … tacky. It was tacky.
Also you were better off skipping the fights and descriptions, because there was a lot of gore and grossness that felt like it was simply for the sake of being gory and gross. I think it was supposed to be a statement on how inhuman there people and conditions were, but it was too heavy-handed.
I read some of it and honestly some of it turned my stomach. Asucaga in fics generally bothers me because there’s always one of them I find is out of character (usually Athrun). Yzak’s romance really bothered me as it was completely against his character, and Sai….Sai is not that kind of guy to betray all his friends like that, though the concept was different from anything I’d read previous.,
Sometimes, I don’t know why I read things. That fanfic was a prime example of it- it had way too much going on, and it gets progressively worse and unbelievable as it goes on. I think in the second fanfic the Archangel gets destroyed by some virus thing that literally ate through everything and I remembered being very angry about it. Then Kira and Lacus go through “second puberty” and end up having insatiable libidos which was so wrong…literally the fic came down to me reading nothing that didn’t include DeaMiri.
Do you actively read Asucaga? I’ve always thought you never really took to their relationship.
I’ve done that before, where you read a fic just for those few moments of your pairing. It’s a sad, desperate time when you’re reduced to that.
Just curious, have any of you guys read any of my few GS/D fics? They’re here, if any of you care to look. (Although I’d advise you not to read anything written before 2010. They’re still there because…well, I have no idea why they’re still up. I just haven’t taken them down.) Just curious of what you guys think of my characterization.
I used to read a lot of asucaga when Destiny first came out, and because they’re a popular ship I still end up reading it, but mostly for what goes on with other characters. I tend to stay away from anything now that’s solely asucaga.
But yeah, it really is sad when you hit that point and unfortunately I haven’t seen a lot of DeaMiri lately.
I think I’ve come across a few of your fics. I’ll have to go back and look at them.
Yzak: Dearka… is it really you?
Dearka: Yeah. It’s me
Yzak: Why the hell are you fighting alongside the strike?…What in the hell is going on?

Five sisters?!
Yeah…and the Elsmans had this giant farm that produced most of the PLANTs fruit and vegetables and Dearka’s mother was African -American and had like 5 university degrees. It was weird…all his sisters hated Miriallia for being a Natural and hated Dearka for dating a NAtural…>_>
And you read this fanfiction why? Also, he sounds sorta like Quatre from Gundam Wing with all the sisters. >_>
I started to run out of DeaMiri fics to read, so I read this one with this massive huge plot…acucaga get caught playing naked Twister and it gets broadcast on T.V. like this massive scam…There’s like this upgraded Buster that has a duel cockpit and the front seat has like a CIC built into it so DeaMiri fight together which was interesting…
I was reading that one! I didn’t get to any Elsman family, though. I lost interest in it.
I’m pretty sure that’s one of the ones where I hated everything they were doing with the characters. Although there were a couple of those and they are starting to blend together.

lmao. It’s a very long drawn out plot and things get weird on Yzak’s side of things…he’s in love with this pair of Natural twins…Dearka lives on a freaking boat and there’s way too many OC’s for me to keep track of. Though Dearka and Yzak are able to go SEED mode which is cool.
I see. I could never see Dearka living on a boat. >_> Ever. I think too many OC’s spoil the plot. I think a couple are fine but too many seem to take away from canon characters. This isn’t so much just for Gundam Seed, this goes for any fandom. At least to me.
If you remember, Yzak actually achieves SEED mode in the Chibi things. XD then promptly exits because he blows up the volley ball.
I can’t see Dearka owning a boat either. Their children all have terrible names, and like all the villains are OC’s and they’re like upgraded psychopathic extendeds that are nearly indestructable…I skipped over a lot of the story and just read the parts with DeaMiri. I haven’t managed to get through the third installment in the series because right off the bat everyone’s attacked and beaten within an inch of their life by an extended that happens to look like Kira and then I was just done.

DeaMiri fighting together would be really badass. Though, it would suck if they ever got blown up. It would be like Andrew. =( I also believe that anything that embarrasses Athrun is the kind of plot for me. lol~
